When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

The report concerning them came to the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem. They sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch,

(22) Now the word about them was heard in the ears of the church being in Yerushalayim and they sent Bar-Nabba (Son of Encouragement) to Antioch.

[22] News of this reached the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. His name meant "Son of Encouragement"—exactly what this mixed congregation needed.
