But whoever has means (bios) of this world, and sees his brother in need, and shuts off his inward parts (compassion) from him—how can the love (agape) of the Elohim remain in him?
The F.O.G
[17] If someone has enough to live and sees a fellow believer in need but shows no compassion - how can God's love be living in that person? It's like claiming to be a fountain while refusing to let water flow.
But if someone has worldly resources and sees a fellow believer in need, yet closes their heart to them, how can Yahweh’s sacrificial love be abiding in them?
The F.O.G Paraphrase
and whoever may have the goods of the world, and may view his brother having need, and may shut up his bowels from him—how doth the love of God remain in him?
Young's Literal Translation
