The F.O.G
[3] We're sharing with you what we've seen with our own eyes and heard with our own ears - stories that still make our hearts race when we tell them. Why? Because we want you to experience the same incredible fellowship we enjoy - a deep, unbreakable connection not only with us but with God the Father and His Son, Jesus the Messiah!
What we have seen and heard, we announce to you,
So that you too may share in our fellowship,
Which is with the Abba Father,
And with His Son, Jesus, the Anointed Messiah.
The F.O.G Paraphrase
that which we have seen and heard declare we to you, that ye also may have fellowship with us, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ;
Young's Literal Translation
Footnotes:
* The Greek word koinōnia conveys the idea of partnership, sharing and a sense of family solidarity. John uses this term of communion for both relating to each other as the people of God and with the Godhead of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Usually, koinōnia means to share resources, monetary or otherwise (see Acts 2:42) typically in the bond of marriage. This is another confirmation, that the church body is betrothed to King Jesus as a bride in waiting. This of course has many benefits for us, most notably, His Holy Spirit alive and active in us.
