(3) Ignorant of יהוה YAHWEH's righteousness and seeking to stand on their own, they didn't subjugate to the righteousness of יהוה YAHWEH.

[3] Failing to grasp God's way of making people right with Him, they stubbornly cling to their own path of righteousness through religious effort. They refuse to embrace God's method of restoring relationship with Him.
