Psalms 2:8 is a messianic Psalm, indicating that King Jesus will share His iron rod authority over the nations with those who keep overcoming until the perfected end (glorification). This reminds us of the parable Jesus taught in Luke 19:17-19, where He gives His servants dominion over cities. What tremendous honor and responsibility He will bestow upon those who love Him.
