[19] Abraham reasoned that if God could fulfill His promises only through Isaac, then He must be able to raise him from the dead. And in a sense, that's exactly what happened – Abraham received his son back as a living picture of resurrection.
The F.O.G Paraphrase
reckoning that even out of the dead God is able to raise up, whence also in a figure he did receive him.
