In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, but death will escape them.

(6) In those days, mankind will seek death and won't find it and will long to die and death escapes from them.

[6] During those five months, people will desperately seek death as an escape from torment—but death will elude them. Even suicide will prove impossible, as God ensures they must face the consequences of their choices.
