Once again Pilate came out and said to the Jews, “Look, I am bringing Him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against Him.”

(4) Pilate came out again and says to them, "Look, I bring Him out to you, so that you know that I find no guilty-charge in Him."

[4] Once more Pilate emerged to address the crowd, declaring, "Look, I am bringing Him out to you to emphasize that I find no basis for any charge against Him." Political expediency wrestled with conscience.

Pilate, therefore, again went forth without, and saith to them, ‘Lo, I do bring him to you without, that ye may know that in him I find no fault;’
