“Put your sword back in its sheath!” Jesus said to Peter. “Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given Me?”

Jesus therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”

(11) Therefore, Yeshua said to Peter, "Put the sword into the sheath, the cup that the Abba-Father gives me, will I not, not drink it?"

[11] "Put your sword away!" Jesus commanded Peter. "Shall I not drink the cup of suffering the Father has given Me?" He showed that true strength lies not in violence but in submitting to God's will.
