As no man has power over the wind to contain it, so no one has authority over his day of death. As no one can be discharged in wartime, so wickedness will not release those who practice it.
Berean Standard Bible (BSB)
There is no man who has power over the spirit to contain the spirit; neither does he have power over the day of death. There is no discharge in war; neither shall wickedness deliver those who practice it.
World English Bible (WEB)
There is no man{H120} that hath power{H7989} over the spirit{H7307} to retain{H3607}{(H8800)} the spirit{H7307}; neither hath he power{H7983} in the day{H3117} of death{H4194}: and there is no discharge{H4917} in that war{H4421}; neither shall wickedness{H7562} deliver{H4422}{(H8762)} those that are given{H1167} to it.
Strong's King James
There is no man ruling over the spirit to restrain the spirit, and there is no authority over the day of death, and there is no discharge in battle, and wickedness delivereth not its possessors.
