But the king must not acquire many horses for himself or send the people back to Egypt to acquire more horses, for the LORD has said, ‘You are never to go back that way again.’

Only he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he may multiply horses; because Yahweh has said to you, “You shall not go back that way again.”

But he shall not multiply{H7235}{(H8686)} horses{H5483} to himself, nor cause the people{H5971} to return{H7725}{(H8686)} to Egypt{H4714}, to the end that he should multiply{H7235}{(H8687)} horses{H5483}: forasmuch as the LORD{H3068} hath said{H559}{(H8804)} unto you, Ye shall henceforth{H3254}{(H8686)} return{H7725}{(H8800)} no more that way{H1870}.
