And Elijah said to King Ahaziah, “This is what the LORD says: Is there really no God in Israel for you to inquire of His word? Is that why you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.”

He said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but shall surely die.’”

And he said{H1696}{(H8762)} unto him, Thus saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068}, Forasmuch as thou hast sent{H7971}{(H8804)} messengers{H4397} to enquire{H1875}{(H8800)} of Baalzebub{H1176} the god{H430} of Ekron{H6138}, is it not because there is no God{H430} in Israel{H3478} to enquire{H1875}{(H8800)} of his word{H1697}? therefore thou shalt not come down{H3381}{(H8799)} off that bed{H4296} on which thou art gone up{H5927}{(H8804)}, but shalt surely{H4191}{(H8800)} die{H4191}{(H8799)}.

and speaketh unto him, ‘Thus said Jehovah, Because that thou hast sent messengers to inquire of Baal-Zebub god of Ekron—is it because there is not a God in Israel to inquire of His word? therefore, the bed whither thou hast gone up—thou dost not come down from it, for thou dost certainly die.’
