“You know that the kingship was mine,” he said. “All Israel expected that I should reign, but the kingship has turned to my brother, for it has come to him from the LORD.

He said, “You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign. However the kingdom is turned around, and has become my brother’s; for it was his from Yahweh.

And he said{H559}{(H8799)}, Thou knowest{H3045}{(H8804)} that the kingdom{H4410} was mine, and that all Israel{H3478} set{H7760}{(H8804)} their faces{H6440} on me, that I should reign{H4427}{(H8800)}: howbeit the kingdom{H4410} is turned about{H5437}{(H8735)}, and is become my brother's{H251}: for it was his from the LORD{H3068}.
