Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch), and Saul.

Among them were Barnabas, known for his gift of encouragement; Simeon (called Niger); Lucius from North Africa; Manaen, who had grown up alongside King Herod; and Saul, the transformed persecutor-turned-preacher.
