So it is not the children of the flesh who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as offspring.

That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as a seed.

(8) This isn't the children of the flesh that are children of The אֱלֹהִים Elohim-God, rather the children of the promise-vow are counted for seed.

[8] This means physical descent doesn't make someone God's child. Rather, it's the children born through divine promise who constitute Abraham's true offspring.
