“Never shall You wash my feet!” Peter told Him. Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.”

[8] Peter's resistance intensified: "Never, Lord! I cannot let You humble Yourself like this—not for me!" Jesus replied with gentle firmness, "If I don't wash you, Peter, you cannot truly be part of what I'm doing."
