(1) Now beware of doing righteousness before men to be noticed by them otherwise you have no reward with your father above the skies.

"Be careful," the Messiah warned, "that you don't perform acts of kindness just to be seen and praised by others. If that's your motivation, you're forfeiting any reward from your Father in heaven.
